Here's my problem with personality tests like these:

Take the following question:

Feelings 0 0 0 0 Facts

If I'm replacing a faulty electrical outlet, I want to know for a fact that the breaker is off.

If I'm trying to decide if my wife would rather me cut the grass or paint the foyer, I definitely tune into my feelings.

So given no context, what do I answer?

I usually get INTP on these tests, but I think I'm pretty much borderline between J and P anyways. Both descriptions seem to fit me pretty well and my chosen academic field, Linguistics.

I could answer those questions in several different ways depending on context. Does that mean I have all personalities and I just use whichever one works best for the problem at hand?

Yes. From the article that I linked:

"The people at CPP aren’t too concerned if the list doesn’t seem to match your type. They advise such persons to see the one who administered the test and ask for help in finding a more suitable list by changing a letter or two in your four-letter type. (See the report CPP publishes on its Web site.) Furthermore, no matter what your preferences, your behavior will still sometimes indicate contrasting behavior. Thus, no behavior can ever be used to falsify the type, and any behavior can be used to verify it."

Importantly, I would suggest avoiding the "introvert" type, because it carries a negative connotation in our society.

I'm an ISTJ on the actual test, ISTP here.

However, as is the case with both tests...
I'm about 55% introverted.
I'm about 55% sensing.
I'm about 70% thinking.
I'm about 55% perceiving.

In other words, I'm an outgoing introvert with a good intuition and can judge and perceive equally. The only trait that I'm not borderline on is thinking vs. feeling.

Even on the MBTI, I'm a jack of all trades.
