just a prettier version of my Yamaha RBX260 in a natural color... with active preamp and a passive/active selector switch.
My signature bass:

MIM Fender Jazz bass with 22 frets, natural finish, maple body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, roundwounds, and a tort pickguard would be an awesome signature bass for me.
A re-issue (sort of) of the '83 Walnut Precision Special, but just passive, with the 62 CS pickup, and satin finish, not glossy.

My signature model would be a black P-bass in a b/w/b pickguard, with split-P pickups in middle and bridge positions. Since it's my signature model, might as well make it all maple construction, and neck-through with a carved heel. And you know it's gotta have some black blocks and binding!

I'd like matching signature bass and guitar, both Jaguar body in ash with maple neck and rosewood fretboard, in oly white with tort pickguard and all the requisite shiny bits.
The bass would be 5-string, fanned fret (37"-33"), 19mm string spacing, asymmetric neck, P-MM pickups with coil tap, switchable active-passive, series/parallel switch (that should help fill up those shiny control panels).

(even if in the past I happened to give suggestion out to a luthier of ours, here in Italy, I lately discovered ending up being adopted on one of his 5er
)
it'd be a 4 string bass just like this:
a Jazz alder 3TS body;
a Precision maple neck - brass nut - 21 fret maple fingerboard;
a set of open machineheads w/Hipshot bass extender;
a Leo Quann BadAssIII stringthru body HiMass bridge;
a Fender WideRange split pair magnets neck pickup;
a DiMarzio chrome SplitP (black hotrails) mid pickup;
a dual output (one per pickup) side custom wiring;
a 3 band rotary equalizer w/3 switches: "on/off"; "mid scoop" and "serial" (output #2: mono)/"parallel" (output 1 & 2: stereo)
a 40-95 set of flats, say, factory tuned a full step down (D/C: if w/Hipshot - G - C - F)
no pickguard
