your thoughts on fake books

I don't have any fake books atm .but the book I was considering buying is a country song book with if I remember right 750 songs in it for 50bucks..and it has a lot of songs it it that I like

If you play Country you have to have this book.
Now it is pure lead sheet, i.e. treble clef for the melody, lyric words for the vocalist and chord names for those that will be playing harmony.

NO bass clef is shown. The bass clef is never shown in fake chord or lead sheet music. So -- we learn how to make our own bass lines.

Think about this a moment. Most bands pass among themselves fake chord and or lead sheets. Finding standard notation with bass clef on Pop, Rock or Country is really hard, however, you can find fake chord on just about anything you want. So -- you gotta know how to read and play from fake chord and lead sheet.

If you play Country you eventally will need to get that book. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] Right now Google can usually find specific songs for you. Ask using these key words; Guitar chords, "name of the song".

Now that book is pure lead sheet, i.e. treble clef for the melody, lyric words for the vocalist and chord names for those that will be playing harmony. is something you will want to add to your collection.
