This is how Sadowsky does a Tele headstock.

I see the remaining wood on both sides of the G string is the same therefore the stress concentration will be shared on both sides evenly so the risk of cracks is reduced.

Nice work, but the tuners almost seem to dwarf the headstock. Maybe downsize those?

You did a great mod job on the headstock but IMHO, should have been left alone. The mod + the decal.......ummm, no! Without the decal perhaps more acceptable to me.

What do I think? 1-you did the work well and it has a nice finished appearance. 2-I like the Tele better.

But I'm all about making a bass your own so I'd still give a thumbs up!

If you like it, you like it and that's all that matters. If you did that to a vintage tele headstock, I'd say you were crazy. But it's a commodity neck and is easily replaced.

Yeah, the neck cost me $299. Plus this particular combination of jazz body Lollar precision pick up and this thick as a baseball bat 51P neck is absolutely gold and it’s my main gigging instrument right now. Just a parts bass but if I had a signature model Fender it would look something like this. No, I highly doubt they would alter the headstock shape I’d probably go with a traditional precision headstock shape but have them beef The neck up to baseball bat realm.
