I'm not too sure but I heard that it was an Ed Roman Rick knock off. It certainly has that prog rock tone that seems to often work for that genre of music.

He also does a couple versions of Giant Steps.

I saw them at the Blue Note Tokyo on the same tour. Not the same gig as in the clip (which was in Osaka).

The bass player is Larry Carlton's son.
