I like this thread. I'll have to contribute one of these 2am knob-twiddling, neighbour-waking nights.

McHaven, that tone at around 2:40 is freakin' killer. I love ring modulators! I should get more, start lining them up all at once just to see if the world would end.

I like the way you think. After you get all the ring mods in one place I'll bring over all the filters and I'm sure we can destroy something. Of course that would mean I'd have to hang onto a filter for more than a week and well,...........that just ain't gonna happen.:p

I picked it up off fellow TB'er Naetog, who picked it up off another TB'er. I think I'm the 4th or 5th to own it. I'm not getting rid of it though.

Yeah, today was my first day to really play around with the ring mod. I'm going to be adding a segment to my band's super psychedelic piece to include that tone, and probably that same riff. (The entire song is just an Am scale, but it works really well, I swear)

As for the lining up ring mod ideas, the Android actually can function as it's own instrument when nothing is plugged into it. It's a real soft signal so you need to run it into a gain pedal, but it is really fun to toy around with.

PRSBass, did you recognize that small stone? :p I'm almost certain I bought it from you. The one with the malfunctioning powerjack, having to use a 9v adapter?

It's a rad bassline, I dig it. I've been reading more and more about the Android lately, I really should pick one up. Or wait for the bigger version that is forthcoming. With my ambient/noise project oftentimes I strum one chord and then play with pedals for like 5 minutes. Self-sufficient effects are keen.

That's like me and basses, every time I buy one the woman says "gee I wonder how long this one will last." :D

Either way, we should plan out this End Of The World BBQ, I'll bring the Noise Box and a bottle of Balvenie. :smug:

Oh that's clean. What your hearing is the tone of a '90 Paul Reed Smith through an Epifani 502/ UL212. Don't buy the two pickup versions of PRS and expect that tone. The three pickup version are the killer ones.

I would never trust my laptop for any kind of sound. I always keep some normal desktop speakers with a sub hooked up, or just a nice pair of headphones. I can't stand to listen to my laptop's speakers.
