Yussef Dayes featuring Rocco Pallidino

The nut did not fall far from the tree! Rocco is a bad man on bass like his Dad! Anyone who can truly lock in with Yussef Dayes is bad man because that dude is one complex drummer!:woot:

I was a big fan of the work they did together earlier a few years back.
Rocco is coming into his own. And I like his style!!
I really enjoyed that. Thanks for sharing .

Thanks, Doc! Man, they're just killin' it! I wound up watching a whole bunch of their other videos…then forwarded them to my (drummer) son…who'll probably forward them to all his drum students….
I'd never heard the name Yussef Dayes before—but I'm unlikely to forget him now; and he and Rocco are perfect for each other!
BTW Was it just me, or was he channeling some Paul Jackson?

I had not thought of Paul Jackson, but he and Mike Clark had a similar connection.

Wow…Funny you mentioned Clark and Jackson: Exactly what I told my son that the two reminded me of, when I sent the videos to him!
Btw: It was Rocco's style of vibrato that reminded me of Jackson's; and, of course, he utilizes that palm muting style of the "later Pino period."

Old Stanley tune...

Carvin bass in use.
