  1. hey all,

for those who haven't heard or seen him, Yves Carbonne is amazing!

    here is his website:

    http://www.yvescarbonne.com

it does not do him justice, butcheck him out if you can. I have spent the last week learning from this man and my head is still reeling!

    from the lows,

    Stew

ps - if I don't answer any posts for a bit it's because my family is leaving New Orleans to avoid Hurrican Ivan...

Sheesh! Hope you get through it all right, if in doubt hold on to that 10 banger of yours and you'll stay firmly on the ground ;)

EDIT- Sorry, just saw the time/date stamp.

  9. no worries, man. it was pretty hectic, though, and I had to rush right from the drive back into town after the hurricane to a gig in Mississippi! craziness!

YC is one of the nicest bass player i 've met today (with jerome wolf !!) Awsome playing, great inspiration ... got to listen to it !!

  12. I absolutely agree. Yves is not only a wonderful player (easily one of the best I have ever heard) with a lush tone and beautiful phrasing, he is a great person. I am lucky to call him a good friend.
