I could if I had the schematic or the pedal but I don't have either.

I had a Designer, the Body knob was difficult to use, the Boost switch was way too much. The UltraBass was nice and the 250/300Hz cut was nice (forget the exact frequency). The rest of the switches/positions weren't that useful, IMHO.

Actually, that may be all I'd be needing/wanting/other 'ing...I've not actually used a Designer before and have been guesstimating its options based on the Sub that I did have and from clips on the ElectroniX/Zeibek site.the one that I built for cyberS above has a 3 way mids switch. it does flat, scooped (mid cut), and boosted mids.

Are you planning a run of these?
Could we talk about one for me, but later this summer?
The Submarine adds a subtle amount of second order harmonic distortion to the signal to a point that is barely audible. It adds a very pleasant sounding fullness and sparkle to your signal. I foolishly sold it and bought the FEA Growler, which is a completely different thing atogether (despite some similarities in added harmonics). I now have the Phat Phuk B, which, to my ear, adds something pleasant to my tone like the Submarine, but the clipping is more audible (which I don't like).
FWIW, I owned the Sub MkII (the yellow one w/o the ultrabass toggle).
If one comes up in the classifieds, you will have to battle me to the death to get it.
I have one of these. How was your experience? Mine have toured quite a bit on my pedalboard. The LED doesn't work now, but the sound still good.I guess we have another example here of the Monroe/Dean/Cobain mistique...you gotta die to be adored: this seems to be going on with the Submarine. Though this does not mean They/it did not deserve to be given their value in life.
I was "rrrrreaally imprressed" by the sound clips on the zeibek site. Was it a preamp? an amp emulator? a booster?...?
But this thread was about Submarine alternative. For those interested in purchasing an already built "version" of this unit, I found something in Argentina: check this out:

I'm having one built at the moment. Ezequiel -the guy at Cajita- is really comunicative. I've done some research and he is a long time working, reputed DIYer. His range includes "interpretations" some of the most popular pedals. (Flipster, Fat overdrive...)
This is his blog:

My mk4 submarine stopped working a while back when I removed the battery, need to get it looked at one day. I have an Ictineo and a JohnK Submarine Designer that I use instead these daze to much delight. I also have Fuzzrocious BDPG V1 & V2 that are marvelous.I have one of these. How was your experience? It might be nice if someone did the original as it had a certain flair.
