did it arrive? Would love a review. I would order one but it seems Moog Audio won’t ship to the USA
Yea, two of them. Unfortunately the one mini gig I did was such an outlier that I have no useful information from it. Nothing about it was “normal” in our world.
Sounds absolutely awesome at home through a WD800/AK C1203 and through headphones. One rehearsal with it was really good in our regular room (with an Ampeg 410HLF that I hate). But the gig was a waste of time tbh.
I love the extra content in the sound space.
I just need more relevant live work with it to get a description that will be more useful.
So far, I love it.
Here’s the mini board I’m using atm.
May get a better handle on it on Friday (29th) as I’m in with a bigger band in a proper studio.

I'm thinking the DCX and Lowrider are pretty much in the same ballpark, yes?

I wouldn’t recommend stacking them with the low end boosted significantly on both. Too much of a good thing, thing.
But they do different things, so there’s a way to make them work together. Depends on the situation. If you have a DCX and tend to turn the L.F. up, then the Z5LR might be too much on top. If you just want low end extension/eq and don’t care for the o/d and other functions then LR is probably the ticket.
But full disclosure:
Both times I’ve played live with them together “live” on my board, the circumstances were far below less than ideal. Neither was a fair test.

Yeah I get that, as I have a DCX but hearing the Lowrider described, sounds like they have the same effect on the low end, just a deeper not necessarily more type of thing going on .. meaning this may be an alternative to the DCX?

Not many units available, isn’t it? I wanted a black one, I guess that the last one got sold while filling my info.

I’ve been using a SA Zio that looks to cover a similar ground, it works really well so I’ll try to grab a Lowrider next time.
