Double Bass Zimmerman bass parts???

I ordered the CD-Rom and just received it this week. Its more than worth the price, to me. They even put my name on the disc!!!

Jennifer, I ordered straight from the publisher in Canada, so I don't know if their is a merchant across the pond.

i used the zimmerman books until i got the complete cd-rom database... anybody else have this? HUGE resource (everything from bach to mahler). it's great, clean parts with no fingerings or bowings. you can just print a clean part if you want to write in your own bowings, or those of a teacher. i made a bound excerpt book for myself out of what i found to be the most frequently asked for excerpts.

I ended up ordering "Tchaikovsky and More" from Invalid Link Removed, $19.95 + $3.99 postage. Excellent, service, it arrived in about 2 weeks.

Anybody checked out the Orchestra Musician's cd-rom collection of bass parts? is that what you're talking about, Square Bear?

yes, thats it. it's 10 volumes i believe, complete parts in PDF format. The really nice thing about them is that they are clean (no bowings or fingering suggestions) so you can write in whatever you want without the page turning into chicken scratch. some of the zimmerman bowings and fingerings are okay, but i think of them as "historical" (to put it generously).

if you are at a music school, check the library. they probably have the cds, so you may not have to buy them.
