I gotta great big pointy fang...which is my Zomby Toof...my right foot's bigger than the other one is, like a reg'luh Zomby hoof... A 1993 statement from the Zappa family shortly after Frank's death

"Just play his music if you're a musician. And otherwise, play his music anyway. That will be enough for him."​

A 2009 Gail Zappa interview with NPR

"I don't really care who's doing it, as long as they get a license. The people I'm going after are not licensing the music." ​

Ike Willis from the same NPR story

"The main reason I'm doing this is because I love Frank. I love his music. And he asked me to do it. He said, 'I would really like it if you could be one of the people that could actually keep my music played, in some way, shape or form.' Those were his words. He didn't want it to die."​
