Zombieland...an opinion

Zombieland is BADA**!!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed the movie.
I agree, it was very amusing!
no way man! what about natural born killers? that one of my favorite movies of all time. woody is great. no zombies there, but certain types of movie violence just crack me up (ive been the only one laughing in the theater many a time).
i cant wait to see this movie, and i think horror movies arent ever scary, so you might as well blend it with comedy (think grind house [well... the first one]). regardless, i bet a million dollars ive seen a handful of zombie movies that were way way worse.
I just got back from this movie.
It was a very good distraction, though it could hardly be considered classic, and will probably be forgotten in a month or two.
Shawn Of The Dead was better, but then again, it's a different flavor movie with the classic beginning, middle, end bit - Z-Land was way too open-ended. Its intro, however, seriously set the mood for a good zombie apocalypse movie.
I say four out of five stars - for good, forgettable fun, Bill Murray, unobtrusive product placement, twinkie drama, and copious Ghostbusters references.

for a good zombie movie, I wanna see a Half Life 2 movie made. Just watch the "Ravenholm" scenes. Coolest zombie level EVAR!
I also enjoyed Zombieland. It had a few sad moments, though. I'm not sure why it got to me but I started to tear up a few times.

My friends and I stayed for the credits (because there is a short bonus clip afterward) and one of the last names before the music credits was for Juicy Wang. If anyone goes to the movie, stick around and watch for it. It's way at the bottom. Pretty funny, though.
Not a bad movie at all, though. Hopefully there will be some good special features on the DVD or maybe a prequel.

Saw it too, but it seemed more or less a love story than raw zombie massacre..which was a let down. It was cool though.
id have to say that shaun of the dead covered all the comedic factors a zombie movie could possibly have so im passing on zombieland
If they'd fleshed it out into more of a character study, Tallahasee's lost son would have been a great story point, even better if they accidentally found hm unaffected or something.
And yea, I teared up too.
Nope, don't do that. Shaun was a better written story with a different feel to it. Z-land is much faster paced with less of the British dry wit, and feels much more like a good sitcom miniseries.
Personally though, I can't wait for WWZ to come out. I really hope Mark Hamill reprises his roles (from the audiobook) in the move.
I did too. I like all the old Zombie flicks & Sean of the dead- and only thought the Dawn of the dead remake was ok- overkill gore like most modern remakes...
Zombieland was fun, and was more about the young guy than Woody Harrelson- but I thought Woody was funny. Only the beginning and ending really featured zombie mayhem- which worked to keep the film light. I didnt go in expecting too much, and I thought it worked as a light comedy...

I don't really have an opinion on Woody, but I love anything zombie-related (Zombie Survival Guide, anyone?). I love a good mow-'em-down flick where the bullets are flying, so I can't see a reason as to why I wouldn't like this.
