Zoom b3 patch Ideas

One of the main sounds I'm trying to emulate is that of Twiggy Ramirez from Marilyn Manson. I have the manual for the M-80 Bass DI and am trying to use the Zoom's DI emulator. The settings from the MXR manual are below but as you can see, the same options aren't given in the zoom. What would you do in that case?

You can backup multiple patches only in form of library,or as individuals.My empty library can help you with that.Drag and drop in an empty backup folder or desktop every patch you like.After that load my empty library and drag back to the library all the patches you want to use,in any order of place you want.Save the new library in safe place and voila,you are ready with your favorite patches and some empty slots for new ones.

Thanks!...I backed up every patch into a folder called "presets" just so I'd have them all in one place. I grabbed your blank library and then put the presets back in that I wanted along with some of the patches I downloaded..works perfectly! I do see a patch called ACDC.b3p but it won't let me downlaod it. Does anyone have a way to grab that one? Is this https://docs.google.com/folderview?usp=sharing&id=0B7b88q8uy5hYMFJUem5nUDNyMkk#list the main link everyone is using for the patch library or are there other places to look as well?

Just try for the ACDC and the file is corrupted.

After posting a ton of stuff about my first week with the unit, I just decided to grab a blank library compliments of TitaniumRx and add individual pedals instead of three pedal patches. I took a good sampling of the patches and broke them up into each of the banks allowed on the B3. In some cases where there was some overlap or where I HATED the effect, I left it off but I think this is a great sampling of effects that I can use as single effects to get more familiar with them. Of course, there is the whole "unity" thing that I haven't done since it seems like it would take forever but I figure this is a good start. As I play with the unit, if there are any effects I don't care for or HATE, I'll just remove that patch. This way, I have plenty of If anyone else thinks this would be useful, let me know and I'll upload a copy of the library.

The problem to share patches is the chain either before the B3 or after. Your amp, your bass being passive or active, etc... I found your shared patches way too loud with a lot of noise so, I needed to tweak a lot to get them to work. After some work I'm keeping the Dave Ellefson sound like patch so, thanks.

For the Smashing Pumpkins I came close with this one I called Marshall, you could also remove the ZNR and add a hard knee compressor, for me sounds close but again, my bass, my chain, my monitors... I do not use bass amp, I DI and my B3 is going to a B7K, then out to my sound card Audient ID22 bypassed preamps and finally to a pair of Yamaha HS50M. This is mainly the reason I have been reading about the B3 before buy, I wanted an all around unit that would sound the same everywhere I go with the minimal carrying gear possible. For band practicing straight to an active monitor and run different amps simulations as needed for the tune. So far it is cutting just fine and I'm very new with the unit so... Way to go!!.

Here's another patch idea I came up with. this patch has a super warm distortion sound that can fill up the the band mix.

Vintage bass drive

Section 1: znr: thresh: 17, detect: efxln, level: 90

Section 2: bass bb: gain: 25, bass: 3, treble: 2, blend: 50, level: 45

Section 3: super b: bass: 4, mid: 5, treble: 3, midfq: 300hz, gain: 50, level: 70, presence: 7, cab: ag1x15, mix: 50

Here's another patch idea I came up with. this patch a warm gritty distortion sound with tight lows and edgy highs.

Metal bass drive

Section 1: znr: thresh: 17, detect: efxln, level: 100

Section 2: metalwrld: gain: 10, tone: 50, level: 80, balance: 25

Section 3: svt: bass: 3, mid: 4, treble: 5, midfq: 300hz, gain: 45, level: 40, ultra: low, cab: ag1x15, mix: 50

I have the B3 myself and really like it. Oddly enough to date I only have one bank set up. Sansamp BDDI pretty much flat tube setting to a Hartke 3500 w/410 simulator. Yes showing my age. I also have a synth sound that I am trying to use to sound like the keys and bass on the Styxx tune - To Much Tim on My Hands.

Wondering if anybody else has come up with a synth patch that works for them?

Back on Page 37, Mattbass97 asked about getting an octave up guitar type sound.

Today I was trying to get a sort of overdriven blues guitar type sound, but failed. I am looking to play above the 12th fret, some bluesy type solos, but would like them to sound more like guitar (I had a piccolo bass that I used for this, but now it has flats!).

Any advice?
