Zoom b3 patch Ideas

Hi all,
I play in an 80s chessy band and have brought a b3 . So a trying to work where to save my sounds then found this great thread. So in after some help. I'm after some synth patches.
Madonna holiday bass.
99 red ballons start riff.
Human league don't you want, main riff and bass sound .
Venus bass
Any one out there tried any of these?
Also is there a good YouTube link to show has to programme patches and Dave them ??

This box amazes me. I'm just using it for the amp models and the variety is incredible. I have about a dozen patches set up now using compressor, preamp and amp/cab sims and little by little tweaking them a bit for my PBass. Most of them work pretty well with both basses but the PBass favors some more than others.

Whose idea was it to combine the Bassman and SVT amps into one patch? I copied those settings down and tried it and damn if it didn't really nail a nice full SVT sound. I had to tweak the settings a little for my bass but the patch is a winner. It's very sensitive to changes in the EQ of both the bass and the amp so it shouldn't be hard to adapt to room acoustics and adjust it in a mix.

This was a great find so whoever came up with it please take a bow. :thumbsup:

Here's a fat overdriven tone which still keeps clarity :

1- ZNR
Thrsld : 16 - EfxIn - 10

2- Overdrive
Gain : 0 - Tone : 69 - Level : 58 - Bal : 36

3- SVT
Bass : 0 - Mids : 4 - Treble : -4 - Mid F : 400Hz - Gain : 98 - Level :17 - Off - Mix : 0

Total Balance : 62

I took the liberty to create a specific thread regarding the way to get good overdriven tones with the B3 o the MS-60B, since I think it gets some time to understand how to get the best results with the B3 regarding this kind of tones. The aim of this thread is less to share patches than to talk about the logic of good combinations and eq tips.

That'd be me...... a few months back. :)

Yeah, it was very much a lucky thing for me to stumble on. I almost found it by accident!

Well then a tip of the old Fosters Mug to you Ozzy. That was a nice find. There are three patches I've found which worked best with my PBass. That's one, the Flip Top B15 is another, and the Eden with it's 4x10 can sim is the third but yours is the best for both fingerstyle and picked and the most responsive to EQ changes. Thank you again!

But I was hoping maybe someone had something a little more specific to the Zoom B3 (or had the ability to create something that sounds better than what I have been able to come up with so far...)

If no one comes up with anything, I'll be happy to share what I manage to come up with. But I'm having more trouble with it than the other effects I've worked on making.

SVT:
Bass:6 Mid:4 Trebl:0 Mid_F:200Hz Gain:45 Level:60 Ultra:Both CAB:1x15AG Mix:50

Here is a sample in a quick mix with fingers,Rotosound flatwounds, Yamaha BB3000 PJ configuration with balance set to 50/50:

Hi crystalman. Really like the sound of the hartke bass attack pedal on you tube, especially when the harmonics knob just starts to break up. I noticed you own the pedal and wondered if you could recreate this tone on the B3???

You could try combining the sansamp bass driver model through the hartke amp model. Give this patch a try.

Mr. beef

Section 1: bassdrive: bass:2, treble:3, presence: 2, gain:45, level:70, mid: 4

Section 2: graphic eq: adjust settings to your liking

Section 3: hartke: bass:3, mid:5, treble:4, midfq:350hz, tube:50, level:57, comp: 2, cab: e4x10, mix:50

The hartke bass attack pedal is similar to a sansamp bass driver, so that's the one preamp model that's pretty close to that pedal. give this patch a try and see how it works out for you.

a little update on this patch. I change the name of this patch to mr. beef and I have switched around the sansamp bass driver model and the graphic eq.

Here's a patch I use for a nice clean tone on my Jazz bass...

Section 1: Graphic EQ - set to taste
Section 2: Bottom B - Bass 5, Trebl 6, Level 95
Scetion 3: Agamp - Bass 0, Mid 4, Trebl 0, Mid_F 120Hz, Gain 40, Level 90, Char Both, Cab 4X10 SWR, Mix 55

I was messing around with the synths and came up with this one that I like. I just added a synth instead of the Bottom B above.

Section 1: Graphic EQ - set to taste
Section 2: Z-SYN - Wave Saw, Decay 55, Tone 6, Freq 4, Range 9, Reso 5, Synth 100, Dry 0, Level 100
Section 3: Agamp - same as above except Char is set to Bright.
