I think it's because P with flats has à naturally well working tone. Low mids are already naturally very present. Thanks @TitaniumRx & @Crystalman85, you guys continue to post some amazing tones and patches!
I spent Saturday evening going through all of the amp & cab sims (through headphones) to see if it would help me towards deciding what cab to buy, but after going through all of them (various times) with my P + flats, and then going through a ton of premade patches by you guys, I realized that my favorite sounds were all patches that didn't include amp or cab sims.
I need to repeat the process with other basses, and roundwounds, to see the results.

I really like it !
What are your settings ?
Arrrgh I'm not at home so I can't see the details of your patch...Thank you, your opinion counts very much for me.

The splitter IS a crossover. You can choose the crossover point, and make volume changes up and down of that point with different values. No stereo functions from a mono fx.
The most useful function of that fx,is that you can make it a HPF or LPF any time you want.Or better, you can have 2 splitters in line and use them the same time as HPF and LPF (High pass filter,Low pass filter).Only the 3 fx restriction is the bad think about B3.
Gk sim is not too coloured. Interesting.EQ,T Scream,G-Krueger![]()
I just found that my patch "P Vin Rat" sounds very close to Brimstone audio pedal tone.
Hear the first 30 seconds of the youtube video of the pedal
My patch sounds like this [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
If you change the gain to 20,then i think is close to Idiobox Blower

I'll check the details this evening.
I am always playing with the dirts and amp sims. Next life I 'll explore all the flangers, phasers, delays,... Days are too short![]()

Really nice !! I like these tones![]()
Another good excuse to tweak knobs instead of practising![]()
Ha ha
But while we don't know how to play everything we are able to explain how we could make it sound nice![]()
I think it has something to do with the raw tone of the P w/ flats. Before I had flats on it, I used amp/cab sims all the time, favouring GK and SVT, in fact my main rig is a power amp with PA speakers and sub!
Now, for some reason, I just love the direct tone of the P (with a little effects here and there). Its great that we can store so many patches, that way I can cover every bass and occasion.
Thanks Crystalman and OzzyGreg. My head blew last Saturday at a gig and I pulled out the B3, I replaced all the factory presets in the 1st 3 banks with very usable bass sounds pulled from this thread. I have decided no new head for me, I have a few power amps sitting around from my old PA so, it the B3 is my live rig now. Thanks for all the great patches. Keep em coming I still have 70 slots left....
Anytime, dude...we're glad that our patches helped you out. I normally use my zoom b3 for recordings, but I have used it live before. and it sounded pretty cool. I am considering using my zoom b3 as my ampless rig. I was thinking the next time I do a gig and if my brother and I don't feel like bringing our amps, I would bring along my zoom b3. it has an xlr output so it can be hooked up like a direct box. anywho, if we come up with new patch ideas, we will post them here. and if you have some patch ideas of your own, feel free to post them here.
