Zoom MRS-8 Patch "CLEAN Standard"

The Zoom MRS-8 digital multi-track recorder is still an awesome piece of kit, and has a guitar patch called "CLEAN Standard". Has anyone, like me, found this to be one of the best patches for bass guitar ever made? Wonderful warm compressed tone with a tiny hint of muted growl - I use it all the time, but I am very frustrated at not being able to get anywhere near the same sound in any performance stomp boxes such as the latest Zoom G3 or B3 pedals. I would be interested to hear if anyone has had a similar experience or knows how to emulate that MRS-8 patch. I have also written to Zoom Japan about it but no response yet.

not so sure, im getting one soon, when i do i'll let you know. just a question,as for technology goes, this is pretty old already, do you find it restrictive in terms of device as compared to what you can get out here today for the same price?
