zvex ringtone vs. moog ring mod

im just wondering if there is anything that the moog can do that the zvex can't and vice versa. i know the zvex can do random which i like very much. and the moog is huge but it looks cool on my board. i was thining about switching but i need someone to back me up if i go through with it

They do totally different stuff. Moog has an LFO to control frequency, plus CV in for expression pedals and CV gear. The Ringtone has the sequence mode, which to me is way more musical than the LFO or expression pedal. The random mode isn't just a random carrier pitch. It randomly selects one of the 8 pitches you've already set for the carrier.

I'd suggest watching demo videos for both to get a feel for the way they work, since there really isn't any overlap in what they do (other than thaat they are ring mods obviously).
