When is it "too much" ZZ Top?

We just started doing "Legs" and one of our guitar players was worried about the the synth part and that we couldn't do the song. I used my Zoom B-1: Octave UP, a little Octave DOWN, a short echo so my double picking eighth notes sound a bit like 16th notes and the Fuzz Face distortion. Guitar player was amazed how it carried the song.

"Pearl Necklace" was one of the first songs I learned on guitar, great tune! I also really like "Dirty Dog" off the Eliminator album, not a well known song, but should go over great in bars... Singing about an ex, Billy Gibbons sings

"Your problems solved with a dollar bill, and if it don't I know a flea collar will..."
