Travis Bean TB2000.
Serial #437 of less than 1100 made total. (1023?)
Koa solid body
Rosewood fingerboard
20 Frets, all in great shape, plenty left
33" scale
Aluminum neck/ body block
Looks to be original including electronics, excluding nut (brass replacement) everything works as it should.
Normal wear for a 40+ year old players instrument, finish checking and dings, mostly wear on the bottom. It's seen some use. No cracks or heavy damage to the wood.
Could be easily refinished to look perfect, but it's got the mojo right now.
Just had a full checkup and setup by Greg at Metro Guitars who is experienced with these instruments. The bass pays beautifully, sets up best with heavy string gages.
The bass is heavy, as all these are. 10lbs +(according to my bathroom scale).
Sounds awesome. Came to me set up for country with flats, nice and clean and thumpy. I put on rounds and it's great for rock etc, very open tone, aggressive and articulate. Even sounds great for slap.
NOW $2,800.00/ paypal gets this shipped to your door properly packed with new gig bag (lower 48 states, USA only).
Will consider trades + cash,
will ship further but in that case buyer pays shipping and any other fees.
As far as trades go, looking for fretted instruments only (I have enough fretless already).
More pics coming when I can get decent light
Thanks for checking it out, thanks to TB'er Boot Soul for giving me some great info on these.
