Covers that really, REALLY suck

all right...don't know if this issue has been addressed here....but anyway....

i'd like to know what covers you guys think are really lame

my vote: Limp Bizkit's cover of the Who's "Behind Blue Eyes"

to call it a cover is generous...they only did the first half of the song...but anyway, that get's my vote for the worst.

any thoughts?

No disagreement from me, however their cover of George Michael's 'Faith' was quite excellent to a 14 year old me.

You can blame Dave Navarro. Hes a massive tool.

What makes you say that? I dont know much about the guys personal life, but his work with Jane's Addiction is fantastic.

2. "Mrs. Robinson", covered by The Lemonheads

Ive always enjoyed that one.

"Knocking on Heaven's Door" and "Live and Let Die" by GnR are probably 2 of the worst covers of all time. I can't think of a band that has done so many covers so badly.

"Turn the Page" by Metallica...they just don't get it.

I agree with all the above, but those Guns And Roses covers were truly horrible, especially Knocking On Heaven's Daaooaar" Even thinking about it hurts my ears.

That "London Calling" cover was another shocker - talk about murdering a great song.
