CWB: 23 TBD

2nd :-)
We played a 3-song set Monday at the small-town high school where our rhythm guitar player teaches. They do a Coffee-House (Open Mic) style event in the commons where anyone can sign up to play or sing or whatever.

He told me to keep the volume down, but i couldn't hear anything but the drummer so i think i just about dimed-out their little bass amp. I think perhaps we melted some small-town faces :-) PLus his street-cred went up a good notch. It was fun, it was almost an hour drive for us but all we had to bring was our instruments, and we bought some beer and snuck it in the back of the vehicle before we went in to play. Silly, and fun.

my new harley engine arrived... well not really a harley, but harley style
It is an R&R cycle 131 inch evo style engine (2,147 CCs)

it is show polished and beautiful. I think I am going to drop the 129 inch engine I have been using into a drag bike

it was a little more than I wanted to pay, but...

ya know, I cannot even justify spending that much on an engine, but I really like it, and I have wanted one like it for a long time. I am suffering from a bit of buyer's remorse at the moment, and I am hoping it goes away soon

hey all - sorry I've been missing the last few weeks - been trying a jury trial and I'm happy to say that the jury came in today and the good guys won. A jury trial is one of the few things that will get me to put down the musical instruments for few weeks, but as gigs go it's even more intense. Nice to just talk to regular folks on the jury, and glad they saw it our way.

Meanwhile, gigs on May 31 and June 14, so I'm right back in the musical soup, for which I'm thankful.

Here! In the midst of getting ready for an arena football game. Been a busy wee and weekend so far.

hey Tat. Hope all is well with you.

stepping back from the legal work and getting ready for the gigs coming up, I was kinda pissed that one of my basses that was set up a couple of months ago was really out of sorts. I've resolved to do my own setups as much as possible now, and so I'm hanging out on the Hardware, Setups and Repair subforum or whatever it's called. Got my P bass decently set back up by myself. But I want to learn how to do setup on all my basses, including intonation.

been playing my fingers off since the trial ended and it sure feels good. Gigs coming right up.
