Hey guys looking to start an amptweaker club, James Brown is making some killer pedals i absolutely love my bass tightdrive, sounds awesome, is built like a tank, & has some great features especially the built in effects loop which you can set pre or post effect. The amptweaker tightfuzz just won guitar magazines editors pick so i know i'm not the only one who loves these pedals anyway on to the pics :D 1384555964008.jpg

Fuzz is probably the number one class of effect that isn't really covered on my board. I have an Empress Multidrive and there is some fuzz in my M5. I don't use the M5 for dirt, and the Multidrive can sound pretty good. But because of all that, the pedal I have the most GAS for is some kind of fuzz, and the TightFuzz is possibly at the top of my list for fuzzes I would love to try. The demos sound so amazing, and you can get so many different options out of it. Even though I would be interested in an Oxide or a TAFM, the TightFuzz is probably at the top of my list (along with the Duality, pending clips!).

I love fuzz but can never find one that i can actually use in worship but the tightfuzz i believe could change that. As i stated before the tight knob is magic on the bass tightdrive and add the fact that they have their own effects loop you can really build the exact sound in your head.
Also if you use a battery they have a little switch that will kill the power so you don't have to unplug the patch cable every time ( neat feature but i always use a power supply )

I'll join the club! I love my tightdrive. It's become something I never turn off on my board. Just makes everything sound better. I keep the gain really low and I find it just really brings out my playing dynamics in a really musical way while adding some grit to my sound and helping things sit in a mix. Can't say enough good things about James Brown and Amptweaker's customer service as well. I've had to send mine back for repairs after having some beer spilt into it at a gig and James was speedy and super helpful.

The TightMetal sounds big and burly!
I now have a TightDrive w/dry low mod (just like in the OP's pic), still listening to what this can do....still playing with where to put it in my signal chain..
I will get to hear it in a mix this evening, I hope!
Would love to try a Bass TightFuzz, even though I haven't loved any fuzzes YET, the tight knob may be the difference.
Yeah, the FatRock and TightRock demos sound wicked too.

I've been wanting an Amptweaker pedal for a long time now and I finally got a Bass Tightdrive. First of all, IMO, its quality of construction is extremely high.
mine didn't have the low blend feature and while I found it actually very nice on guitar, it cut way too much low end for use with a bass for me.
instead of sending it in for the low blend mod that blends clean low end with the drive, I built up and added my own full range clean blend control and the pedal sounds awesome now. you have to keep in mind that this pedal reverses the phase of the original signal, so if you use an external clean blend, it's mandatory that it has a phase reverse switch.

I would be very interested to hear the difference between full range clean and low-only clean if you ever have a chance.
