Fresh off my purchase of a Modfactor (and my continued love for my Pitchfactor), I could not find a settings thread. I'm very interested in what people are doing. These boxes can do so much I feel like I'm only scratching the surface. I plan to post some of my favorite Pitchfactor settings over the weekend.

Also: I just posted an "Official Eventide Stompbox Club." Check it out!

Well...no action here yet, I'll get things started.

Unit: Pitchfactor
Patch Name: "Do No Harm"
Effect type: Harmodulator
Tempo: On
Wet/Dry Mix: 15
Pitch Mix: A10+B10
Pitch A: +1 oct
Pitch B: +P12
Delay A: 1/4
Delay B: 1/8
Depth: -1 oct
Speed: 5/16
Xknob: Square (Shape)
Yknob: 20 (Feedback)
Description:This is a nice, syncopated octave + perfect 12th echo, that I have used live multiple times in church. It's a wonderful sound for slow intros. The patch name, by the way, is simply a play on the fact that it's the first effect I created with the Harmodulator effect type.

Unit: Pitchfactor
Patch Name: "SpaceshipMode”
Effect type: H910/H949
Tempo: Off
Wet/Dry Mix: 13
Pitch Mix: A7+B10
Pitch A: 0.998
Pitch B: 0.990
Delay A: 337ms
Delay B: 590ms
Depth Key: Modern
Speed/Scale: Normal
Xnob: 59 (feedback A)
Ynob: 27 (feedback B)

Although I’m not a delay guy this is a delay with some colorful repeats.

Unit: Pitchfactor
Patch Name: "-2+1oct+6+3”
Effect type: Quadravox
Tempo: Off
Wet/Dry Mix: 40
Pitch Mix: Center
Pitch A: +3rd
Pitch B: -2oct
Delay A: no delay
Delay B: A.B.C.D
Depth Key: C Maj
Speed/Scale: C Maj
Xnob: +1oct
Ynob: +6th

Four harmonized notes together create this Boston based patch.

Unit: Pitchfactor
Patch Name: "Jazz Piano Comp”
Effect type: Quadravox
Tempo: On
Wet/Dry Mix: 75
Pitch Mix: Center
Pitch A: +9th
Pitch B: +11th
Delay A: 1/2
Delay B: ….ABCD
Depth Key: C Maj
Speed/Scale: C Maj
Xnob: +13th
Ynob: +2oct

If you play a 4string like me and you always wanted to hear some out of range voicings on your higher registers this patch is only the beginning. And since most of the time doubling in jazz comping is a “no no!” (Although we break a million other rules here) you can turn the Ynob in unison or +3d.

Unit: Pitchfactor
Patch Name: "CareBearsRainbow”
Effect type: Crystals
Tempo: Of
Wet/Dry Mix: 10
Pitch Mix: A10+B10
Pitch A: 1199c
Pitch B: -1200c
Delay A:2000ms
Delay B:350
Depth Key: 30 (Reverb)
Speed/Scale: 48s (Decay)
Xnob: 65 (feedback A)
Ynob: 70 (feedback B)

Unit: Pitchfactor
Patch Name: "No Lifting allowed”
Effect type: Synthonizer
Tempo: Off
Wet/Dry Mix: 50
Pitch Mix: A2+B10
Pitch A: 300
Pitch B: 20
Delay A:0.1
Delay B:0.1
Depth Key: 0 or 100 (Reverb)
Speed/Scale: 0 or 1.4s (Decay)
Xnob: sine
Ynob: 30
Adjust reverb to taste (if this algorithm has some musical potential to you let me know, is defiantly not a plug and play one for me).

Unit: Pitchfactor
Patch Name: "Organ 3 Octave"
Effect type: Pitchflex
Tempo: On
Wet/Dry Mix: 50
Pitch Mix: A10+B10
Pitch A: -1 oct
Pitch B: +1 oct
Delay A: 1/4
Delay B: 1/4
Depth: 0 (Filter)
Speed: 10 (Shape)
Xknob: +1 oct
Yknob: +2 oct
Description: The title is pretty self-explanatory. It's an octave above and below, which you can "flex" to +1 and +2 octaves.

Unit: Pitchfactor
Patch Name: "2 Oct Echo"
Effect type: Diatonic
Tempo: On
Wet/Dry Mix: 10
Pitch Mix: A10+B10
Pitch A: +1 oct
Pitch B: +2 oct
Delay A: 1/8
Delay B: 1/4
Depth: E:MAJ
Speed: E:MAJ
Xknob: 50 (Feedback A)
Yknob: 40 (Feedback B)
Description: Somewhat similar to my "Do No Harm" patch from earlier, yet sonically pretty different. The echo/delay escalates and bounces around in the upper registers. Has an organ like quality, but delayed and more ethereal. Great on guitar for muted root-5th power chords.

Unit: Pitchfactor
Patch Name: "Symmetric Detune"
Effect type: Micropitch
Tempo: On
Wet/Dry Mix: 50
Pitch Mix: A10+B10
Pitch A: +25c
Pitch B: -25c
Delay A: No dly
Delay B: No dly
Depth: 0
Speed: 0
Xknob: 30 (Feedback)
Yknob: 0 (Filter)
Description: A "non-modulating" chorus. Sounds fantastic on bass and guitar, this is one of my go-to chorus sounds. The expression pedal/knob adjusts A/B from +/-0c to +/-50c so I can adjust depth to taste.

Unit: Pitchfactor
Patch Name: "Crystal Light"
Effect type: Crystals
Tempo: On
Wet/Dry Mix: 15
Pitch Mix: A10+B10
Pitch A: 1210c
Pitch B: 1190c
Delay A: 1/4
Delay B: 5/16
Depth: 35 (Reverb)
Speed: 2.2s (Decay)
Xknob: 20 (Feedback A)
Yknob: 20 (Feedback B)
Description: My default version of the "Crystals" effect, this mostly adds a high-pitch shimmer.

Unit: Pitchfactor
Patch Name: "H Micro Echo"
Effect type: H910/H949
Tempo: On
Wet/Dry Mix: 25
Pitch Mix: A10+B10
Pitch A: 0.995
Pitch B: 1.004
Delay A: 1/16
Delay B: 1/64
Depth: Modern
Speed: Micro
Xknob: 25 (Feedback A)
Yknob: 32 (Feedback B)
Description: A chorusy, modulated, echo-delay. Great for clean guitar or high register bass arpeggios.

Unit: Pitchfactor
Patch Name: "Power Arpeggio"
Effect type: Diatonic
Tempo: On
Wet/Dry Mix: 50
Pitch Mix: A10+B10
Pitch A: +5th
Pitch B: +1 oct
Delay A: 1/8
Delay B: 1/4
Depth: G:MAJ
Speed: G:MAJ
Xknob: 59 (Feedback A)
Yknob: 59 (Feedback B)
Description: A power chord arpeggio with some feedback. I've used on both guitar and bass for the intro to "Our God (Is Greater)" by Chris Tomlin in church.

It's hard to read, but I found this for some Modfactor settings:

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I think it's guitar oriented, but I've been meaning to try them out.

Here's a song I wrote using the Resonator Algo on the H9. My set up for this is:
Warwick Thumb5> H9> Lexicon Lambda Interface> Ableton Live 8

All effects on the bass are from the H9. The drums came from Ableton.

And rather than try and write out all the knob settings, I just took screen shots of the H9 control app on my Iphone.:bassist:

^ That's a great way to do it, perhaps when the editing software for the Factor series is released, we'll be able to do that for the other units. (I saw on a video on Invalid Link Removed that this software is coming in 2014. I hope that's true.)

Really nice sound on that clip, by the way.

Thanks man, I'm probably going to develop into a real song at some point. I just wanted to contribute to the thread ASAP.

Do you want a club member # for the other thread? (Link near the top of this thread.)

For those who didn’t already do a web search for settings, some more Pitchfactor presets can be found in those links below.

Waiting patiently… Until the end of this month when we are going to get updates from eventide.

Thanks VSR! I'll have to check these out.

I've got a Harmodulator preset I love and use all the time, but it's more of a syncopated arpeggiation sound, not trippy/soundscape.

So this is the settings thread, I already posted my stuff above. Check out "Do No Harm" and "Crystal Light."
