Ron...very nice...but I have to say...Ive never seen an FBASS with that pickup configuration....who did the work?...or did you have George put it together?

Crikey, I didn't even notice the pups! I was just admiring the finish on the beautiful woodgrain and contemplating the unusual 4-string nature of the beast. No matter how many 4-str Fbasses I see, in my mind's eye the name conjures a 5-str and I wonder should I ever be able to afford (as in play well enough to justify purchasing), would I get a 4 or 5?

I did notice, also, that it looked "Broken In", in a good way. A great way, in fact. It looks old, but is still in "mint" condition. The headstock gives it that vibe. Twenty-seven years, and it's got the exact pup config I'd like: humbucker-P-J...

Please edjumacate me on the bridge; Kahler?

I love to lurk here, bring on the pics!

Ha! What good eyes you have, Feral Feline! That is indeed a Kahler vibrato or tremelo bridge... Somewhat of a rare sight on a bass guitar!

How do we get print versions?

Bass Gear Magazine is carried in book stores such as Barnes & Noble, Hastings, and Books A Million, and also in music stores such as Guitar Center and Sam Ash. We also offer direct subscriptions, and you can sign up for these over at www.bassgearmag.com.

My response was actually highlighting the fact that tremolos on a bass were NOT a rarity 27 years ago, but cool pic none the less.

:)

Apologies for my misunderstanding Zortation :o
Time to leave my historical digression on this thread, and return to more current stories and especially pictures of the amazing craftsmanship and limitless customer choices of (IMHO) the very best electric bass guitar built today!
