Posted the other one, and still have a ton of time to kill. I got fooling around recording and decided I'd do a blind fuzz battle to see who wins.

Double Germ B:assmaster is the winner by the narrowest margin (27-25).

The first clip sounds like other clips I've heard of the B:Assmaster, and the first part of the second clip sounds like classic Muff to me. The B:Assmaster is a funny thing in that I have mad GAS for it even though I have never liked even one clip I've ever heard of it. It's just the cosmetics that have me wanting it.

cosmetics.....thats interesting you say that.....the assmaster does have something about it's appearance that jsut screams buy me.

Interesting. I thought this one would be a slam dunk, but I honestly don't know which is which.

I didn't hear the sound I associate with the Assmaster. Is this a double germ version? Both clips sounded smoother than the Malekko I tried.

And not having tried the Bass Big Muff I was expecting that classic Muff sound. I'm guessing it's the second one, but a little different from the old NYC Muff that I had.

That fuzz blended 50/50 is still one of my favorite sounds.

I've always loved when Robert Sledge used it with BFF. Like on the chorus of Battle of Who Could Care Less. One of the few tones I've tried to outright copy.

#1= Assmaster.
#2= BBM.

All three clips in #1 have clean blend. Sounds one and two in #2 have no clean blend. While I understand you could cut clean volume on the Assmaster, I'm going to go ahead and just assume that you were just switching through the modes on the BBM, one with no blend but bass boost, two normal, and three with blend.

Regardless, #1 is totally the Assmaster sound. One of the first clips I've heard that actually sounds really cool.
