Other things have become more important than bass ATM

you would. i think you'd like the classic silicon version best... with the expanded frequency range
RC, what is most noticeable about the "extended range mod" if you could elaborate, please?
I've been contemplating sending mine back for the expression pedal mod and thinking about the extended range mod, also.
I believe it lets (even) more low end thru. I think this improves the silicon version a bit by balancing out the heavy mids. But I am not claiming to have a/b'ed them at any point, and ultimately i decided the assmaster wasn't the sound for me - not that it isn't awesome!
Thank you for your thoughts on the mod. It's not all that expensive to have done. I do have the silicon version and I've not found the pedal to be "low shy". But I have noticed the strong mids. And from what I've been told is part of the problem in putting a synth package together with other pedals. And I have experienced as well as been told that the pedal doesn't play well with other pedals.
Hmm, you guys must like quiet fuzz...

A massive db boost although fun at home is a bad thing live and is a good way to get disapproving looks from band mates.
I thought the same and changed three capacitors to larger values. Retains the low end really well now.
I think it's even annoying on my own. I'm going to mod my Brassmaster clone and add a volume pot to it.

Sweet, looks like I'm off to musician's friend to get me a big muff.
I wouldnt say that, but if you have a long chain with lots of loops etc and you dont like bending over to change levels all the time, it's important that you can get practical output levels
