bass intro's

Hmm..I'll name a couple of songs with cool bass intro's...not sure if I have one I would call the best though:

1. Hey you - Pink Floyd
2. Badge - Clapton/Cream
3. Naughty Naughty - Danger Danger (90's hair band that had a smokin Guitar player...aka Andy Timmons)

"Badge" (Cream, bass by Jack Bruce)

"My Girl" (The Temptations, bass by James Jamerson) Sure it's simple, but it sets up the song and everyone recognizes it right off.

"Whippin' Post" (Allman Bros., bass by Berry Oakley). That crunching 11/8 riff gets your attention and goes right into the song.

"Sweet Child Of Mine" (G&R, bass by Duff McKagan) I hate Duff's sound, can't stand Axl's awful screaming at the end, and generally don't much care for G'n'R. But the SONG is good, and Duff's little melodic bit at the intro is so perfect for that song.
