Well, this was my Christmas present. :hyper:
Its an Arbor Flying V.
It was one p pickup, and is full scale. :)
I love it. Its mahogany neck through, and weighs like.... 7 pounds.
I paid under two bills for it.... :smug:

So, Post your Flying V's basses.
Any make, doesnt matter. From Dean, to Jackson, show em' off. Thanks.

DUDE! when is epiphone releasing the V basses????

I don't know..I'm actually more interested in when they are releasing that Epiphone g****r with the vintage tremolo for €160 before delivery.:D ..So desperate in fact I sent Gibson an e-mail to view this apparant phantom.

They do look sweet though..Oh,and if you didn't see it yourself, they're releasing the Explorer bass in the same colours too.

I found this on Ebay UK a while back and finally went for one. I wasn't really expecting much for £90 brand new but I was really pleasantly surprised. The fit and finish are pretty much perfect, the setup was fine out of the box and those humbuckers sound great. It even came with a lead, an allen key for the truss rod and half-decent strings.

It's totally playable as it is. The only thing I might do is add some shielding to the cavities. Wesley also make some other interesting basses, including a Jaguar inspired one with MM pickups and a Stingray copy. They also do a black version of the Nimrod.

My most painful "one that got away" story is a Gibson Flying V bass. Mid 90s, around $600. They wouldn't take my MIM Jazz Bass as a trade-in, so I passed. I guess I showed them.

I can't believe nobody's posted a Dean Metalman yet. I don't need any more basses, but those are so cheap, and the ones I've seen in stores have played surprisingly well . . . I'm strongly strongly tempted to pick one up, just for giggles.
