I'm thinking about eventually getting some musical instrument insurance. What do I need to know before getting it? What kind of policies are out there? Is it worth it?

I definately recommend it ! I ,personally have a rider on my home insurance as well as a policy with CollectInsure.com,,,,do your homework...search the web,talk to insurance agencies.....they will want to know if you use it to make money or a collector/investor,,,where do you want coverage--home ,storage,transit,or at venues-----replacement cost or actual costs...so you see there are many options
