Killing In The Name is from "Rage Against The Machine", not Rage... Rage is a 80's, 90's, 00's , German Thrash Metal band. You don't want that kind of confusion

I was talking to Maurili the other day when he posted looking for new ideas. That reminded me of this set we did that was the 'Dance Medley'.

All the songs except the first [ to accomaodate the singers request ] were dance tunes.

The set is non-stop, and ran about 40 mins + the way we played it, with a lot of improvisation between the signposts.

The intro was all the hooks of the songs segued together. The outro reprised the intro, a little more dynamically. The set was:

I used to love that set, so did the crowd.

I always advocated bridging the songs, never stopping until the set was over, and taking the rests by laying out.

Thanks for the comments guys. We've had a total of five gigs so far, mostly parties, and we'll probably do a few more this summer. We did one club gig in Atlanta on a Tuesday night and they seem willing to bring us back. Our set list keeps changing because we try to play stuff we like, so songs disappear when we get tired of playing them and there are always several suggestions when we need a new one. Our last practice we added Chinese Rocks and Search & Destroy.

Dirt Dog, those last three tunes actually work well together, I think because they're just fun to play. We have three different lead singers, and each sings one of those. Mark, we usually play the punk songs pretty straight, but some of the others (like the blues tunes and Waiting for the Man) can go wherever the lead guitarist takes them. He's the best musician in the band by a wide margin. I usually stick pretty close to the script for each song, but that's because I haven't been playing that long and I'm not real comfortable stretching out.
