The amazing part is my lead guitar player/lead singer has all the songs memorized. I have all but 2 and I am working on that now. I sing ten songs, the drummer sings eight songs.

Here's my band's song list [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]-- set list is usually adjusted according to the venue (some want more rock, others more r&b).
And we have a yellow flag on the field for mis-attributing a classic rock song. "Black Betty" had nothing to do with Nazareth. It was by the Ram Jam band and the album version is a monument to excess.
That's the #1 thing I hate about playing covers, actually- when people rquest songs by the wornga rtist. It's usally something benign like " I like a lot of Motown: Van Morrison, Aretha Franklin, James Brown" and then I say "None of thsoe artists ever recorded for Motown" and they say "Whatever."
Or, "Do you guys know "Build Me Up Buttercup" by the Temptations?"- and then they want to know why my eyes are rolling back up in my head and I'm getting woozy.
