Trace Elliot at NAMM???

Here's something said on the ChurchBass mailing list a couple of days ago:

TRACE ELLIOT!!! - Sweet sounding stuff, with awesome features built in. Has that Trace sound, but you can actually defeat the Trace "curve" and dial in your own with either 7 or 12 band EQ. Serious stuff and TPB may just be the FIRST dealer in the US....we'll see.
TPB is ThePerfectBass.com, BTW (not affiliated)

And then:
Funny thing about Trace. Gibson bought them and then ran them into the ground. According the Peavey, they now have them and the have assembled the original builders to build them like they were before Gibson aquired them. Peavey is taking a completely "hands off" approach and letting them build them anyway they want and Peavey will distribute them but have nothing to do with R&D or the actual building of them. They are even letting the TE team dictate the price. The guy at the booth said they wanted them to be the "mazaratti of the Peavey line".

(I don't know if there is a rule for quoting other people - should I give their names, etc.?)

Again, that makes it look like the Gibson Traces were inferior. Not so...

With the experience that we all gained in R&D over the years, the last designed products, examples being: V4 & V8 valve Bass amps, re-designed Trace Acoustic Amps, Speedtwin Guitar range and the Evolite PA systems, were without a doubt Trace’s best ever products. These were supremely reliable and incredibly well engineered. There was over £500, 000 on back-order when Gibson pulled the plug!

I happened to go here last night

Imagine my surprise when I thought I could order one.....filled out the order and saved the page...called them today and spoke to Dan.....he said he was not sure about supply and would put in a call and call me back....in about 10 mins my phone rang and Dan told me that the supplier is saying these will ship at the end of the year.....I WILL have one of these as soon as they are out......

Peace,
