That headstock is DIFFERENT. Should it be like everything else out there???? Headstock looks aside, if you played one of Jimmy's basses you just may not care about the shape of the headstock.
I had one and let it go...It is one of the ONLY basses I have traded away that I actually regret.

The headstock grows on you after a while. I like it now, and I really did not before.

General question - what's the average weight of an ash A-C 5?
+1 on the headstock. As I've posted before, I can see it being a turnoff for some, and it kept me away from these for a while. Now, I absolutely LOVE the look with the tuners.
These basses are all quite lightweight.... mine feel about 9 pounds or a touch less, and Mike's LG-5 feels about the same or a fraction of a pound more... really lightweight, and they feel even lighter than they are given the visual disconnect between the lightweight and the full size J body.

I actually like the headstock, and the in-line tuners. Besides, it might save my life if I get stranded and need to paddle a boat

my new LG5 is about 8.5 pounds.. but my new kbp5 is lucky if it gets near 8.. i bet its about 7.5.. i will weigh it next week... its light...

Yeah, I remember first seeing the headstock and not liking it at all. BUT, I forgot about all that when I played the three I got to at NAMM. Damn!
