Oh, and here's my highly modded SX. Just for the hell of it.

The one thing I hate about SX basses is that they are such good deals I want to buy them all. It's a lot easier for me to say no to very nice expensive bass, then it is to turn down a cheap bass that has lots of potential.

I don't want to de-fret my Fender, but the one I'm building is de-fretted and I hope I can get it finished soon so you can all laugh at it. :D

I'm only worried that I'd have to use flatwounds, do roundwounds really hurt the neck enough I'd have to switch?

I mean if I gotta use flats I'll re-fret the neck.

Nah, they ain't so bad, lots of players use rounds on fretless, maybe have to resurface the board after half a decade, or more...

I actually do use flats on my fretless's, but just for tonal reasons.

Darkstrike...

What pups do you have in that?

Another question...how do the 4 string p pickups handle the low B?

I've been GAS'ing for a 5 string P but can't afford a fender/benavente/sadowsky right now...so I may just have to do some mods...also what is the string spacing at the bridge?

Stock P pickup, and a DiMarzio X2N-7, with a push/pull for coil tap, Vol-Vol, no Tone.

I assume it handles low B well(most basses, IMO are just fine, once set up for it, though some are better), I don't actually know, its tuned D-G-C-F-Bb(or A#).

String spacing at the bridge is 14.5mm, just a little tighter than my 6string bass.

Suprisingly playable, really.
