"The Markbass Traveler 121H was awarded the "Best Bass Cabinet" award at the recent MIPA (Musikmesse International Press Awards) ceremony, held on March 29 at the Frankfurt Musikmesse.

The 121H beat out cabinet nominations from Sadowsky (2x10) and Glockenklang (6x10!!!) to win the award. Markbass was also nominated in the Best Bass Amp category (for the Little Mark II) and was the only bass amp manufacturer to be nominated in both categories.

Two years ago, Markbass received its first MIPA nomination for best cabinet.

The MIPA has become the "Grammy" of the Musical Instrument/Pro Audio industry, and its winners are selected by the editors of the top 107 music magazines in the world."

Actually the cab was resized to mach with others. I just don't know it has grown, or went smaller?
Anyway, I have tried an old one with my LMK, and a Warwick, and it was terrifific, fastest I've ever heard, and so good sounding (not just in front of the cab, but more far from it as well!)! Congrats Markbass!

Award winning cab, eh?

Aah, so that's why I'm grinning like an idiot, is it!?

:hmm: Or is it because I am an idiot? :crying:

No matter! I think it's a great cab.

Even on it's own, it's got enough presence for most situations that I'm ever likely to encounter. Still, I hope I can find an excuse to splash out on a second one, to build my "Mini-Rig of Doom" :D (see below).

Hurrah for Marco!

A friend of mine has just bought 2 121H cabs, and thes are just incredible sounding. Very loud, the sound is not loosing the presence and thickness, as you go far from it, very musical highs, and I've heard they are matching the cab's size with the other traveler, and standard cabs, so it will be the same depth as your 2x10!
There is a risk, that you'll like it more than your present cab. :smug:
And you should check, if you need more lows, maybe think about the 151HR.

Finally the new products showed up on the markbass site. But the specs are still the same. DOES ANYBODY KNOW what are the new dimensions of the changed Markbass cabs?!

Nevermind, thank you very much for the answer. I was simply "worried", that the cab became smaller, so less liters, less bottom, but I see, that its depth decreased, but the width increased! (I mean the 121H) :smug: Very nice!

So, the size of our Traveler 121H has changed. Has anyone any experience on the new one? Or on the new and the old as a comparison? Maybe someone, who can enter to the Markbass factory, and try whatever he/she wants? :D
Or just a simple human who had the opportunity?

Tell us, tell us! :hyper:
