Here's my Ace Pro 8-string bass. It was a cheapy off Ebay. It has a through-neck and slightly noisy active electronics. Sounds good though, and it's fun to play. Also my mandolin is there too..that has 8 strings!

I just got a Waterstone Ozone 8-string. But I'll have to wait until the wife gets back from her weekend trip to get the camera back!

I like it. Passive pickups, neck-through, brass nut. I back off the bridge pickup a little bit and tune the E down to D. It's pretty comfortable to play.

I also have a Washburn B-20 *-string in bits getting a revamp and refinish and right now I'm GASing for a Tune with or without a trem system!

I've had the 12 string Galveston for about a year or more now. I couldnt handle all 12 strings so I decided to convert the bass to 8 strings. I had to cut off a bit of the fretboard (frets 25-27) because awhile back it took a nasty fall onto a concrete floor and that area got messed up. I'm waiting on an order of strings then I'm gonna get it set up.

Ok then - 8 year necro thread! I cound not find another 8-string club thread, so bringing this one back to life, see what happens. Didnt look like numbers were given out, but we could start now?
