Never started a club before, but here we go.

This club is for TBers who own one or more Birdsong basses (or for that matter, anything, guitar or bass, built by or modified by Birdsong's Scott Beckwith in his years of working on instruments).

CTBass&Birdsong/Ben is member #1 if he wants it. It's the least I can do for someone who has been such a Birdsong cheerleader.

Sooooo...
#1 CTBass&Birdsong (unless he opts out)
#2 Acleex38
#3 BlackCrayon (based on interest expressed in Ben's thread - unless he opts out)

Post to this thread if you want in.

I'm in :) Have we seen any other posters here that claimed to be owners? Guess there are only 120 or so basses out there (and 99% of them owned by CTBass ;) ;) ) but maybe we can attract a few more :)

sadruth_2-full.jpg Sadhana #2 (Ruthie) ,the first of my Birdsongs.....

sadruth_7-full.jpg Another view... I am very happy to be part of the Birdsong club...as I can ,I will give a little insight as to how my Birdsong tribe grew and how I named them...this will be a great thread to follow and find other members of the growing Birdsong family.... A link to a page for my Birdsongs.... Link Removed :bassist:

There are my pictures - now there is a club.

I'm okay with making prospective owners into full fledged members - I'm all about playing fast and loose with guidelines. So Mitch and Yvon, you're in.

You know what - the thumbrest gets you in too, Bobby.

Sooo....

#1 - CTBass&Birdsong
#2 - Acleex38
#3 - BlackCrayon
#4 - Slejhamer (full membership, since you have pics of a body blank)
#5 - rfclef
#6 - Yvon (tentative membership, pending pictures).

I'm going to count Birdsong BBox owners too. Again - pictures are the key.

This is a club i wish i can join some day. I love scott's basses, but above all i believe him and his team to be great people. Even though i'm in no condition to get a birdsong now, and i don't know when i will be able to, scott took the time to answer my emails, give me info, and sent me a demo cd (does the demo cd get me into the club? no, didn't think so.) I've never played a birdsong, wish i can some day. But at least once a week i get into the website and read the news and drool over the pictures.

#6 - Yvon (no longer tentative)
#7 - Rowsdowner (I almost bought that set, but C77 (the fretless) was brand new and I couldn't swing it that quickly)

Sweet - we're well underway. It's days like this that I wish my guitarist was on TB (he played bass in his younger days) - here's a shot of his one-off mesquite 12-string guitar ("The King") that Birdsong made for him, sitting next to C77 at the Birdsong Gathering in April.

In addition, the first "for sale" EJ guitar, EJ-002, is from the same plank of mesquite and is going to my friend as well in the next week or so.

Glad to join the club.

I own Corto #29. A great bass.

Scott and Jamie are great people. The pride they take in what they build and sell is seldom seen today.

I've tried to find a better built and sounding shortscale bass than what they build, but I always end up back at my Corto.

My band has accused me of not realizing that sometimes in life, you really can reach the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. You just need to realize and accept it.

I agree with your band. As such, I am pleased to let you know that you are now #8.

Actually - I'm not sure in what way I'm agreeing with your band - except in that I've stopped seriously looking at other brands (and I wasn't looking for a short scale in the first place).
