I've searched and read, searched more and read more, but I still have some problems finding what's suitable for me. I really don't understand all this technical stuff. I need an amp with two channels - one for my electric and one for my upright and a suitable cab. I don't want to change during a gig. I have a budget of about $1500, but I'll be happy to spend less. I play almost all my gigs in cafes, pubs etc. with an audience of 100-500, and the volume isn't very loud (bluegrass, folk, country).
I've found these that have two channels, I think..; the EA iAMP Micro 300, Ampeg Portabass 500, Acoustic Image Focus, Aguilar AG500, Phil Jones M-300 and SWR Natural Blonde. Now, a couple of these might be out of my budget, and maybe a couple isn't suitable for electric? I don't know, that's why I need help. How much watts should there be, and what cabs is good alternatives with these?
I mic my upright with the RS II, and sometimes with a condenser mic in addition, but the mic goes right to the mixer in that case. Electric basses is a Fender Precision and soon a 5-string jazz (Lakland JO I think), so the cab must handle a low B.
I would really appreciate if someone could help me with this, as I now feel completely clueless.
