For the heck of it, I was just checking out Alleva-Coppolo and LowEnd Jazz soundclips. The Basses both sound great, but if I didn't know anything about those basses, I don't know how much I would be interested in either one. The A-C sounds like a really nice Jazz Bass, it's just prettier than my Fender. The guy who demoed the LowEnd was much more clear in showing what that bass had to offer and showed how it was different from a simple Fender copy.
My point is that someone just jamming on a nice bass does not really transmit that much information about the qualities of that bass. A good demo really needs to show what the basses features are and how it can produce it tones or explain what makes it playable.
I'll post the clips in a minute.
