I woke up this morning to my Jeeps back window broken out and my Stanbaugh 4 string stolen.......

I am furious!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I made a police report, posted in the stolen gear forum here, posted pics on Facebook and Myspace. I am cruising the local music stores and pawn shops as soon as I print up some pictures to pass out.

People are generally scum.

I've done that...accidently left the car unlocked after I finished schlepping my gear into my apartment...luckily the only thing I left in there was my iPod.

Here's to hoping she comes back to ya. You've got the serial number registered right (if Stanbaugh does that)?

I can't hammer you for that. I did the same thing years ago when I got in at 2 on a weeknight from a gig and didn't feel like lugging my bass up to my 2nd floor apartment. Woke up the next morning to find my car's window smashed and my six string Carvin stolen.

The next day at work I was in the Teacher's lounge and my friend Diane asked me why I was so grumpy. Forgetting for a second where I was (a Catholic high school) I blurted out, "Some ****sucker stole my bass".

Linda, our French and English teacher (who was in her late fifties) looks over at me and deadpans, "I wasn't even in Sacramento last night."

It was good to laugh, but I stayed pissed at myself for that mistake for a LONG time.

Like I said, not hammering you one bit. I made the incredibly stupid mistake of letting the guitar player talk me into leaving our stuff in the trailer after a gig. He swore he was going straight home and would back the trialer up against the garage. He ended up falling asleep at his girlfriend's apartment and the whole trailer was stolen with everybody's equipment in it.
After that, I said I would NEVER go to bed until everything safely in the house.
