Yup, this just landed at my door an hour ago, and after a setup and a jam, I'm quite damn' happy.
Ok, first, similaritys to Ric,

Initial Impressions,
First off, the neck is chunky, and glossy, very much like a Thunderbird, only with less taper, very flat fretboard, and great upper access. The frets, are extremely well done, standard size,and I have got some nice low action with no buzz. Not very heavy, and not super light. Bridge seems very solid, intonation, and action lockdown tight and don't move. Bridge pickup cover is neat, but seems to get in the way, may just remove it. Handy as a thumbrest though, the bass could do with a rest nearer to the neck pickup. Wiring I didn't check, but seems top notch, playing in front of my computer, no hum, from any combo of pickups, or solo'd. Control knobs are really cheap feeling, but the pots seem to be just fine, have a good affect on tone, and volume. Pickups sound great, really, nice and agressive on the bridge, smooth on the neck, I don't have an actual Ricky for direct comparison, sadly. Tuners are solid as a rock, won't need changing. Slaps suprisingly well. Strings that came stock are nice fairly high tension nickle plated steels, quite like my usual preferred strings. Oh, made in China.
Plans, I may add a mirror, or smoke mirror pickguard, other ideas include blackout/stealthing it, or going gold.
I also may just wire it up in stereo like a Ricky.
For about a quater of the price of a Ricky, I couldn't be happier. Got the look I'm after, suprisingly good feel(if very different from my normal prefrence, I usually love thinner necks than this has), and a really nice tone, I assume it sounds like a Ricky that's been Duncan'd.
