Rate My Custom Headstock Logo!

Hey gang, hopefully this isn't against the rules or something.

I've been asked by several people about a headstock logo on my basses. So I sat down last night with Photoshop and put this design together. Good? Bad?

(REVISED: This is the final logo in action - actual decal on headstock)

It reminds me of an old, well-worn, faded high school or college tee shirt, which I dig, personally. Well done.

I dig the logo Dan. I love your work, but I must say that the tint on this stain is a bit off for my tastes. Kinda looks like what SX does in terms of color. Could be the lighting or digi cam too.

I would say move it to the right about 5 mm, but the graphic itself is really great!
I've been thinking of a custom decal to put on my refinished SX, looks like photoshop is the way to go

That's actually one of my first necks, before I got the color right. Now they are more brown amber. Like the one in your avatar!

+1. It's something new. Also agree that it needs a nudge to starboard.

I'm on the fence about the more solid "custom basses" font -- IMO, it looks jarring next to the cool, weathered "Atkinson." What if you placed it under the "Atkinson?"

I like it and I don't. I like the script. Very classic and cool. I guess the fake wear looks kind of cheesy to me.

Looks cool to me!

I would advise against the relic'd look built-in to the decal, though. I'd do a clean-looking decal, then relic the whole headstock & body if that's the desired effect.

But that's just me.
