Rate My Custom Headstock Logo!

For me the font is too fat and it looks like it would be difficult to make out from a distance. But I do like the widget under the name.

I general, I think that if a manufacturer uses aftermarket parts licensed by another manufacturer, putting "custom" on the headstock is a bit of wishful thinking.

Besides, it looks kind of odd...a Fender headstock shape with a different name on it. How about making a headstock shape of your own to go with your logo?

I always get so excited when Mongo2 posts something relating to Dan Atkinson. I know there will be a backhanded comment added in the mix. :D

Looks faaaaaantastic! Love how the logo doesn't stick out like a sore thumb, unlike most decals I've seen.
The "Custom Basses" part looks a bit too generic, though. Just my 2 cents! But we all know how fonts like "Comic Sans" are way overused to the point of being cliche.

I like it... I'd personally like to see it just a touch smaller. Like 1/4" smaller or more so the A at the beginning is closer to the string retainer rather than the edge of the headstock. The font is heavy enough that it's going to be legible smaller and still have weight to it and similar 'impact' visually.

I really like the font.. My only complaint is the s and the o.. they don't connect. All the other letters do. It really stands out to me.

I just looked at it from about 25 ft away with the image at about the same size on the screen as a real headstock.

At that distance the ATK combine to form what looks a lot like a fat rounded "W" followed by a black mush.

The widget under the name is the most identifiable part of the logo even at that distance and a bit beyond...that's a nice touch.

I still think it would benefit from a custom headstock shape, perhaps one that better matches/compliments/repeats the shape of the widget.

I also think the "custom basses" is superfluous.

I agree with the S and O feedback. The first time I looked at it I read "Atkins On Custom Basses". I thought to myself if the Atkins diet was making basses.

I also like the feedback of a smaller font. It almost looks overwhelming to me.

I really like the wedge under the script. That makes it look professional in my opinion.
