Hi Dan,
welcome to the TB Stalkee Club. At least you didn't get the whole cadre of stalkers extraordinaire, but you're getting a good dose. The perennial naysayers. I'm not seeing any infringement on your part, but I see the accusations. Kinda' makes me sick: a dude designs his own logo, is kinda' proud of it, does good work in general, but merely wants comments and CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, then they try to make you out as a crook. I wonder: what do they do that's so noteworthy. What gives them license to poo poo on a good man's character? You do good work and certainly don't deserve this crap.
I like your logo especially given the fact you designed it yourself. I had a bass customer who is a graphic artist who told me I needed my own logo. He designed it, but I had to pay him of course. It was worth it. Elita in gold with black outline and CertainBass black with gold outline. Elita is cursive not unlike Fender, CertainBass is block font like early 70's Fender model names. The whole presentation is kind of a cross between early 70's and 60's style. I didn't want to reinvent the wheel, I wanted something that looked conventional.
It's good to know there's someone who is doing about the same thing I am and whose company is about the same size, small. Never know where it might take us, but we both love the feeling of having satisfied customers and making the bass world a little better because we gave someone something they wanted and couldn't get elsewhere. Who can mess with that?
