Yes, the non-Fender instruments could be very well be better than a real Fender but I'd think a proud assembler would want to have his work instantly identifiable especially if it's better than the product it imitates.
My goal is not to make my work instantly identifiable. My goal is to give customers what they want.
The only reason I'm evaluating a logo is that a customer wanted one.
Look, either you dig this type of thing or you don't. Some guys really appreciate the kind of thing I do, or Bill Nash, or whoever. Some guys do not. Fair enough. Just like the old relic debate. People get very emotional about it for some reason, and borderline flame those who don't subscribe to their views.
We aren't talking about politics or religion here. We're talking about basses. Let's keep that in mind.
