trademark? isnt the fender headstock a generic shape anyone can use now?
Fender still holds the trademark on the headstock shape.

Why do you exist? are you a troll? Let the man do what he wants, are you a fender representative? Are you a lawyer appointed by Fender to threaten him? The point of his products isn't to rip-off fender. I'm pretty sure their to give a reasonable product and extra money for his family vacations. I don't think you have to worry about fender losing any money because of this man.

Now now...don't be so harsh on Mongo2. I rather like having a stalker on TB.![]()
A general question:
How hard can it be,in all honesty, to create something.
Soo many bass manufacturers are doing it.
And yet many still copy F...
If it is all about making better instruments than F ( their name can't be worth that much as to copy them if all we hear is, that these copys only happen because of F being so "mediocre"...) why copy them rather than come up with ones own "designs" and make a GOOD name for ones own instruments.
I'd like to direct your attention to a statement I made previously:
Look, either you dig this type of thing or you don't. Some guys really appreciate the kind of thing I do, or Bill Nash, or whoever. Some guys do not. Fair enough. Just like the old relic debate. People get very emotional about it for some reason, and borderline flame those who don't subscribe to their views.
We aren't talking about politics or religion here. We're talking about basses. Let's keep that in mind.![]()
JKDan, after reading through the 10 pages of thread the last few days, I really really want one of your basses more than ever...was this some sort of marketing ploy all along?JK
Back to the subject at hand - hows the headstock logo coming along? Any updates? Did you take ".com" off of there? Front or back of headstock? Maybe give the customers a choice?
I'd really like to see a line drawing logo of some sort instead of a name all together - I think that'd be classy. Think along the lines of the Gibson/Epi tbird logo that they put on their pickguards - I'd like to see something like THAT on a headstock...![]()
Hey gang, hopefully this isn't against the rules or something.
I've been asked by several people about a headstock logo on my basses. So I sat down last night with Photoshop and put this design together. Good? Bad?
(REVISED: Put logo on back of headstock)
