Best cab config for metal

im asking for opinions and recommendations...

im in a metal band....
playing through a Hartke 4x12 and 2x12....
just blew the speakers in the 2x12..
what do you guys think??

Go back to a 2x12 or is there a better configuration for metal?
(Pantera, lamb of good, SOAD sound).....

thanks

I assume you're talking about the look? It's just speaker size only affects dispersion.

There's no 'best' cab for metal with regards to speaker size. A cab with multiple speakers would probably be good though, what with the extra senstivity. 412s and 810s are most likely sufficiently metal.

If you want a metal sound, you really just need to try a load of cabs until you find somewthing you like.
