What's in your Gig Bag...?

What, besides a Bass or two, do you keep in your Gig Bag ?
Here is what is in mine.
extra 9-volt batteries
a small phillips screw driver
a small standard screw driver
a little mini zip lock bag of assorted picks
Tuner
DI Box
20 foot monster Cable
20 foot old reliable peavy cable
3 foot patch cable
spare set of strings
bass string winder & clipper
a polishing cloth
a small hand towel
1 pair of black tennis wrist bands, for wiping off sweat.
1 pair of black weight lifting gloves(kind with fingers cut out)Left over from Metal days.
Fredericks of Hollywood purple crushed velvet thong, size "S" left there by a girl named Tracy
after a night I will never forget.

Minus the thong and your fingerless gloves, pretty similar stuff is in mine. Add a few spare power cords, spare set of strings and a winder, a music stand that folds up to about the size of a carton of 120 (size, not count) cigarettes, a box wrench of the size to tighten Schaller strap lock nuts, and a roll of T.P. (better safe than sorry...). Pretty standard stuff. My basses travel in hard cases, my gig bag was probably intended to be a gym bag when it was made.

The question I have to ask, were you really curious or just looking to brag about the thong? ;)

Thanx, I almost forgot about the strings and string winder, my mind was on the thong. Those
strings have been in there as long as the panties.
There a set of Anthony Jackson six string's. I won in a contest years ago,I have never broken a string or had to replace one yet. My favorite is still the "G" string.LOL. Anyway
I did not want to brag about the panties, that was a long time ago, I'm fat & have a bald spot now, no more 110 lb babes like me anymore.
I really was curious to know how much stuff everyone else drags around with them. That we never wind up using ourselves, cant tell you how many 9-volt batteries I gave to freinds over the years. :)

Everything else (batteries, Leatherman, picks, earplugs, strings, tools, watch, spare strap, toothpicks and superglue ect) is in the "Stuff Box." So named, because it's where all my bass stuff goes.

Side note: only use picks when fingers start to bleed.
Side Side note: toothpicks and glue in case of strap button faliure.
Side Sider note: Never play a show without earplugs. Ever.

Heh, I'm also the kind of guy who puts accesories in a separate bag. But in my gig bag i usually put what i call "the moment" stuff, mostly written stuff like paper and napkins with whatever came on the spot: setlists, business cards, phone numbers from those that don't use or need business cards;)and etc., meaning whatever object that for whatever reason i chose to take with me. Kinda like trophies, or spoils from a gig.

And no, no panties as of recently:p

The Show Choir Season Gig Bag
1 EB6166 Vol. Pedal
2 EB Slinky 5s
1 EB Polishing Cloth
1 Set of Allen Wrenches
1 String Cutter
1 Peg Winder
1 Tuner
1 Spare Cable

Marching Band Gig Bag
All that plus:
Painters Plastic Sheet [bout 8X10], if it rains, my equipment gets protected
Hand Warmers
Gloves [cut off finger]
Sun Screen
extra pencils & paper
Hand Towel [wipe down the upright]

Edit: During marching band season our Percussion Director [lord of tempo Mr.P] carries around a condensed set of screw drivers and assorted wrenches. This guy is prepared for anything percussion related minus if a shell was to randomly explode. :D

The reason for the 2 different ones are since certain things make plenty of sense to take with me during Marching Band but don't make sense during First Edition. If i can think of anything else i'll edit my post.
