What's in your Gig Bag...?

Here are some of the things in my gig bag:
-Sharpie and paper for writing setlists
-Flashlight
-Spare compression driver diaphragm (for monitor horns)
-Mixing console manual
-Electrical tape
-Pee Chee folder (remember those from 20 yrs ago?) containing: notes for live sound, note frequencies (great for taming boom in a room), common freq’s that “tune up” drums, bass, guitar, vox, etc., and song lyrics
-Cd’s for PA lightoff and break music
-Spare mic clip
-Spare mic (SM57)
-ConducTool (cleans ¼” m & f connections)
-Rack screws
-Zip ties
-Tweeter bulb for Goliath horn
-empty 9v packages (oops)
-Ibuprofen
-Misc. dustbunnies &grime. Oh, and a good coating of bar smooge on everything listed above (that smoke/beer stench that perfumes everything so nicely for you)

Essentially, just enough stuff that it hangs out the top and I will never be able to properly close the bag. Ever.

I have one of those rack drawers instead, but in there I have:

extra strings
wire cutters
pics (even though I rarely use them)
chords
tools (screwdrivers, allen wrenches)
cds of my band in case anyone wants them at shows
promo stuff (calenders, stickers)
duct tape
DI box
ground lift adapters
extension chord
old set lists (for inspiration, hehe)
pens
paper
a saxaphone neckstrap (not sure how that got in there)
batteries
rack screws
Imodium AD (it's been needed)

New/spare strings
String cutter
Tools to fit ALL hardware in all of your gear
Paper, pen, marker
Spare cables, assorted
Extra electric extension cord/reel
Clean bathtowel for sweat
Spare batteries
Bandaids, Imodium, Tylenol
Duct and electrical tape
Condoms
Simple DI box
Blank CD recordable
Small flashlight
Hand sanitizer
Small Kleenex pack
Sealed bottle of water
Ground lift plug adapter (3 to 2 prong)
Mix CD for break music if needed

Well, mine's pretty well-laden at the moment. It's a converted leather laptop bag, and it holds:
Real Books 1 & 2
EB bass strings
2 sets of D'Addario guitar strings (size 9 and 10)
extension cord
2x Instrument cables
2x Speaker cables
AA batteries
9volt batteries
sax reeds
drum key
tuner
Leatherman
screwdrivers
looseleaf paper
a notebook
writing utensils
business cards

Oh yeah baby, I'm loaded for bear! :bassist:

I had an amp stand custom built that doubles as a carrying case. It holds:

2 guitar stands
3 bass cables
2 25' mic cables
1 SM58
spare 9 volt batteries
1 spare 25 foot speaker cable
4-5 short cables between 6 inches and 4 feet long

My gig bags hold:
strap
tuner
cigars
matches
yellow electrical tape (all of my cables and mic stand have a band of yellow tape identifying my stuff for quick argument free tear downs)
screw drivers, allen wrenchs for bridge adjustment
business cards ( name, "electric bass and vocals", email address and phone numbers)
